Why Buying Controlled Substances Online is a Bad Idea

Buying medication from Canadian online pharmacies is a great way to save money on your prescriptions. Canada has the same high standards as the United States so the quality and effectiveness of the medication is the same as if you purchased it from your local pharmacy. Since health care costs are controlled by government and pharmaceutical companies don't spend a lot of money on marketing, Canadian pharmacies are usually able to sell their medication for a lot less than you would find at your local store. You can buy almost all of the brands you need, including pet medication, as long as you have a prescription from a qualified medical professional.

However, there are some medications that are not available online. Controlled substances and registered narcotics, such as Vicodin and Oxycontin, cannot be purchased from legitimate Canadian online pharmacies. It is illegal to import or export these drugs overseas or through the mail and can cost you up to 5 years in jail and $250,000 in fines. However, there are a number of fake pharmacies online that claims they will send you these controlled substances with or without a prescription, as long as you are willing to pay the price.

It may be tempting to take advantage of their offer, especially if they are advertising that they are Canadian online pharmacies. However, the truth is most likely the website you are buying from is a fake that is being operated by drug gangs in other countries. Not only are they likely to steal your credit card information and run up a huge bill, the medication they send you will most likely be bogus as well. If they don't outright send you sugar pills then the medication they do send you will not be as effective as what you can get from a legitimate pharmacy.

This is because these drug gangs take legitimate drugs, cut them in half (or quarters) and mix them with other ingredients to make the medication look like the real thing. Since you don't know what these other ingredients are that they're using, you could be putting your life in serious jeopardy by ingesting something from a fake Canadian online pharmacy. Is it really worth the risk just to save a few dollars? Be safe and verify the legitimacy of any Canadian pharmacies you decide to purchase from. It is always better to safe and healthy than sorry.
